Recording was done on my
computer at home using
ProTools LE ver. 6+ for
Windows XP, by Digidesign,
Inc. The input device
(interface) was a Digi001 and Digi sound
card.
Some of the background
sounds come from a Proteus
1. Effects are either
on-board the computer (RTAS
and Auido Suite plug-ins) or a DEP-5 by
Roland. Guitar effects
are mostly digital plug-ins
and/or a
Marshall distortion pedal. I use a Taylor
415 with a Duncan Mag Mic
pickup and a Steve Warriner
model (TAKSW341SC) Takemine with on-board
electronics. I
use a boss and roland chorus
pedals (occasionally), digital
plug-ins and the DEP-5.
(Hey, if anyone from Taylor
reads this and wants to
sponsor me that would be
very cool) :-) My primary electric guitar
is a late 70's cream Gibson Explorer. Drums are mostly
from a Roland TD-7 electric
set. A couple songs
have tracks from an Alesis HR-16
drum pad. Some new songs
(I Need Holiness and
Revolution of Love) contain
tracks by Chris McHugh. Bass is a cheap
Stryker (by Kramer) with
nice vintage 80's EMG pickups.
I bought it from Stewart
Levine, producer for Simply
Red, from his home studio in
Hollywood in the '90's. Primary
microphone is a Shure KSM27
condenser microphone with a
1" diaphragm. Other mic's are
mostly Shure SM58's. That's
the quick run down. If
you have any questions you can
email me. |
